|Access to Care|
Access to health care—being able to get the care you need when you need it and where you need it—is critical for good health and well-being. Today Michigan Health Centers provide access to care for more than 615,000 residents at over 250 delivery sites across the state, but it is estimated that 1.7 million of our Michigan neighbors still lack access to primary health care.
Michigan Primary Care Association provides technical assistance to Health Centers with particular focus on increasing access to care for more Michigan residents. Michigan Health Centers are increasing access by building new facilities, expanding services, and creating jobs, to make individuals, families, and communities healthier. Michigan Health Centers are also reaching out to community partners, linking resources that result in a more integrated system of care. This allows individuals to be the center of their care plan and helps create a more continuous and connected set of supports and extend from health care homes to where people live "24/7".
