BUT state funding cuts are threatening diabetes and kidney programs that help prevent and manage diabetes, high blood pressure and kidney disease. Volunteers who attend the 2010 Diabetes & Kidney Day on Wednesday, April 28, 2010, 9:00 am-3:30 pm will be advocating for these programs.

State funding cuts are threatening diabetes and kidney programs that help prevent and manage diabetes, high blood pressure and kidney disease. Please attend the 2010 Diabetes and Kidney Day to advocate for these programs and learn about issues related to diabetes and chronic kidney disease.

3/4/2010 11:00 AM | The Michigan Civil Rights Commission will host a public forum on disparities in access to quality health care in the Capital Area.
The forum will follow a formal meeting of the Commission beginning at 3:00PM in the same location.
The forum offers an opportunity for members of the Commission and the general public
to learn about the barriers that Michigan residents face when seeking health care, especially those barriers related to race, religion, sex, age, physical and mental disabilities, color, national origin, or marital status. The Commission is interested in part because of the link between prevention and early detection and positive health outcomes following serious illness. |
