Communications

Communicating the impact and importance of Michigan's Community Health Centers is an important piece of MPCA's mission to support, promote and develop comprehensive, accessible, and affordable community-based health care services to everyone in Michigan.

From promoting the quality services CHCs offer to working with members of the media, the MPCA Communications Team is here to help you get access to the resources and assistance you need to build a strong, effective communication plan for your community.

Feature Story: Promote the Health Center Brand

On April 1, 2011, the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) launched the "Community of Community Health Centers" campaign - a national branding initiative to help position and promote Community Health Centers as a unified and nationwide network of quality providers.  The changing health care environment is ushering in new financing and insurance structures, new marketplace players, increased competition for patients and doctors and other primary care workers, as well as a need for new and beneficial partnerships.  For that reason, it is more important than ever that our Community Health Centers are readily identifiable and recognized for their nationwide presence, successful track record, unique service delivery model, and significant role in America's health care system.

As part of this campaign, NACHC has adopted a new FQHC brand identity mark to unify all communications developed by or related to all Federally Qualified Health Centers and Federally Qualified Health Center 'Look-Alikes'.  The logo is not intended to replace existing Health Center logos, but rather to supplement and unite those symbols nationwide.  Click here for more information and to preview the logo.
