Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) will serve as a physician extender to Ob-Gyn staff service patients, exclusively for outpatient services. The CNM will provide comprehensive, primary health care to a select population of essentially healthy women. The CNM will provide direct patient care, including history and physical exams, ordering and evaluation of tests, individualized patient teaching and counseling, and management of medical conditions of Ob-Gyn Clinic patients. OVERVIEW:
The Accounting Clerk will report to the Controller. They will perform transactional accounting functions in the general ledger system, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. They will provide ad hoc reporting and general support as needed to the Finance department. They will help the agency prepare various fiscal and governmental reporting requirements and provide support to the Controller. The Accounting Clerk will be expected to gain an understanding of industry specific terms and processes that are unique to Federally Qualified Health Centers.
Duties, functions and responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable
Verify cash receipts against reports from each practice site and prepare weekly deposits
Enter all cash receipts in accounting software program
Reconcile practice management system (Accounts Receivable) to the general ledger monthly
Verify the integrity of data through an approved method of cross checking.
Accounts Payable
Prepare and enter cost allocations of all invoices into accounting software
Communicate with vendors and prioritize and process payments
Prepare monthly account reconciliations and analysis- credit card statements, employees benefits and withholdings, balance sheet accounts
Help prepare and maintain grant expense summary reports
General Fiscal Services
Assist the Controller and the Executive Director with preparation of monthly Board of Directors' Meeting material
Assist with preparation for annual audit
Assist with preparation of grant/agency budgets
Assist with special financial reports for the UDS report, the Medicaid Cost Settlement and the Medicare Cost Settlement Reports
Assist preparation of monthly/quarterly grant billing requests
Maintain chart of accounts and perform monthly general ledger account analysis
Archiving
Maintain orderly files to facilitate expedient access as needed to prepare financial reports for grants, finance committee meetings and board meetings.
Label and archive year end department files for storage and destruction
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
The incumbent must possess a detailed understanding of accounting terminology and transactions (credits, debits, balance sheet, income statement, accounts receivable, accounts payable, closing, posting, etc.). The incumbent should also have advanced computer skills in Excel as well as other Microsoft Office products. They should be comfortable with electronic forms of communication and storage (voicemail, e-mail, faxing, scanning) and possess the capability to adapt to other financial and practice management software. They should also be extremely detailed oriented, with an emphasis on accuracy. This individual must be self-motivated and solution-minded in order to implement processes that could improve the accurate and efficient recording of data that will be used to make critical decisions for the agency.
Minimum qualifications:
Associates Degree in Business Management/Accounting and 2 years of accounting experience.
Preferred computer software experience - QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, MDServ or CareRevolution (EHS)
Must possess advanced Excel skills
