Michigan Primary Care Association is working with many local, state, and national partners to assist Community Health Centers in emergency preparedness planning and response. MPCA also provides information to partners about the role of Community Health Centers in their community at all times, and the potential role of Community Health Centers in the event of an emergency.

TRAIN is a web-based, nationwide learning management system for public health organizations that: 

  • Is free to the public; with resources, courses, blog discussions and more!
  • Addresses immediate needs of states and communities to prepare the public health workforce, improve emergency preparedness, and increase the quality of the public’s health 
  • Helps managers, employers, and partners to identify appropriate and necessary training for public health workforce, register learners, and track learner training;
  • Provides powerful reporting capabilities to support performance and accountability;
  • Enables tracking and sharing of valuable public health training data among states, localities, the federal government, and the private sector;
  • Provides the infrastructure for short- and long-term public health workforce development;
  • Provides over 200 courses in workplace safety, and agent specific training;
  • Has geographically tailored lessons to your health center demographics;
  • Provides link and resources for Volunteer programs and special population education and outreach; and
  • Partners with hundreds of Michigan and National partners, including the Michigan State Police to provide its members with the most up to date, efficient management tools. 
  • Member receive "Save the Date" notifications for State and National assemblies.
