Position Summary
Under general supervision, the Social Worker will provide in-depth counseling, discharge planning, and create optional outcomes for the client and family by managing complex psychosocial, physical, and economic co-morbidities.  Crisis intervention, so psych evaluation/placement and substance abuse assessment and referral.  Social worker must also be able to evaluate cases of abuse and neglect in the areas of adult and pediatrics. 

Qualifications

  • Must demonstrate strong analytical skills to complete in-depth psychosocial evaluations and make recommendations regarding treatments and discharge plans
  • Must demonstrate strong interpersonal communication and documentation skills
  • Must be able to work in a self-directed and collaborative environment
  • Master’s degree from a School of Social Work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
  • State of Michigan Registration
  • Must posses a Michigan License of a Limited Licensed Master SW (LLMSW) or be License Eligible
  • Master's degree in Social Work or a Master's degree in Guidance and/Counseling required
  • Experience working in the field of mental illness, substance abuse and/or homelessness preferred
  • Experience working with Native American children and families preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
