This two-day Corporate Compliance and Affiliations training provides Health Center staff with information from trusted health center attorneys, Jacki Leifer, Adam Falcone, and Marty Bree, of Feldsman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP, who have years of experience advising Health Centers and federal grantees on compliance, contractual, and other Health Center related issues.
Health Center Affiliations Training
Collaborative relationships, both with neighboring Health Centers and with outside organizations, present opportunities for Health Centers to meet HRSA requirements, expand services, and implement new models of care. However, legal and regulatory limitations, risks, and impacts must be carefully considered when determining appropriate steps towards forming and operating within collaborative relationships. The affiliations portion of this training will explore goals and opportunities for collaboration; equip Health Centers to evaluate a variety of contractual approaches; and discuss legal implications and compliance concerns associated with collaborations, mergers, and acquisitions.
Health Center Corporate Compliance Training
An effective corporate compliance program is essential to maintaining compliance with the myriad legal, regulatory, and financial requirements faced by Health Centers. This compliance training will provide your Health Center with key information on enforcement trends; equip your Health Center with tools and tips to implement your compliance program; and empower your Health Center to maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Compliance 101 will describe the evolution of corporate compliance programs and describe strategies for implementing effective compliance programs. Compliance 201 will describe the enforcement environment and address financial, clinical, and regulatory risk areas, including risk areas relevant to Section 330 requirements.
