The MPCA Community HealthCorps program is a state-wide program focused on Healthy Futures through member service in Community Health Centers, and with other partners focused on our priority areas. Michigan Primary Care Association Community HealthCorps members are committed to "Serving Our Communities by Building a Healthier Michigan through Patient-Centered, Community-Focused Navigation.“ As part of Michigan's AmeriCorps program, each member serves a one-year term at one of our partner sites across the state in order to improve the health of Michigan residents by serving as:

- Patient Navigators, support and mentor individuals, support the development of a Patient-Centered Medical Home, and help in the development and integration of a skilled-volunteer base to strengthen the support offered to patients.
- Community Navigators, seek to address unmet health needs prevalent in the community through health education and outreach efforts (including enrollment initiatives), support the development of new collaborative partnerships to address community health, and help in the development and integration of a skilled-volunteer base to strengthen the promotion of community health.

Member Benefits
The following benefits are made available to MPCA Community HealthCorps members:
- Living Allowance: Members will receive a living stipend of $12,100 during their first term of service.
- Education Award: Upon successful completion of their term of service, members will receive an education award of $5,550 from the National Service Trust.
- Health Insurance: Members are eligible to receive basic health insurance. The coverage is made available at no cost to the members.
- Child Care: Any AmeriCorps member who is a legal parent or guardian, residing with the child, may be eligible for childcare assistance.
