Saginaw County Organizations Unite to Improve Public Health, Eliminate Disparities

SAGINAW COUNTY, Mich. – An alliance of
Saginaw County public health advocates, hospital systems and education
organizations is looking to solve a variety of health concerns with the
Saginaw County Community Health Improvement Plan.
At an unveiling of the 2014-2016 plan, CHIP partners reviewed accomplishments of the organization so far and "refreshed” strategies to continue their work.
identify problem areas, the organization collected primary data by
speaking with citizens in Saginaw County. It also collected data from
local health agencies and public meetings throughout the county.
partners include Saginaw Intermediate School District, Saginaw County
Department of Public Health, Health Delivery Inc., Saginaw Community
Mental Health Authority, Covenant HealthCare and St. Mary’s of Michigan. Read more
