SAGINAW COUNTY, Mich. – An alliance of Saginaw County public health advocates, hospital systems and education organizations is looking to solve a variety of health concerns with the Saginaw County Community Health Improvement Plan.

At an unveiling of the 2014-2016 plan, CHIP partners reviewed accomplishments of the organization so far and "refreshed” strategies to continue their work.

To identify problem areas, the organization collected primary data by speaking with citizens in Saginaw County. It also collected data from local health agencies and public meetings throughout the county.

The partners include Saginaw Intermediate School District, Saginaw County Department of Public Health, Health Delivery Inc., Saginaw Community Mental Health Authority, Covenant HealthCare and St. Mary’s of Michigan. Read more
