Traverse Health Clinic Looking to Expand

The Traverse Health Clinic is seeing more patients walk through its doors. This is because so many people in northern Michigan qualify for the Healthy Michigan Plan under the Affordable Care Act and many of them get turned away at private doctor's offices.
While more Michigan residents enroll under the Healthy Michigan Act many private doctors offices are beginning to cap the number of Medicaid patients they take.
The Traverse Health Clinic was just awarded a dollar-for-dollar matching challenge grant from Rotary Charities of Traverse City to help them expand its facility and services. The clinic is also looking to add more physicians. Read more
