Three Detroit-based Health Centers (Advantage Health Centers, Oakland Integrated Healthcare Network, and Wayne County Health Communities Health Center) received funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as part of the Affordable Care Act's plan to increase medical, dental, and behavioral health access.
“Today’s announcement … will allow Michigan Health Centers to expand quality, affordable health care to residents,” said Rebecca Cienki, COO of the Michigan Primary Care Association. “The New Access Point grants will enable Health Centers to reach populations in new communities where necessary health care services are currently unavailable.”
