MDHHS Announces Bureau of EMS, Trauma and Preparedness

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) announced the creation of the Bureau of EMS, Trauma and Preparedness (BETP) in June 2015. The formation of this Bureau will merge the office of EMS & Trauma and the Office of Public Health Preparedness (OPHP).

Two new divisions will be established within the Bureau: The Division of EMS & Trauma (DET) and the Division of Emergency Preparedness and Response (DEPR). BETP will be led by Dr. Jacqueline Scott, D.V.M., Ph.D. the former director of OPHP.
