Affordable Care Act Funding for Twenty-Nine Michigan Health Centers for Quality Improvement

On August 25, 2015, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Acting Administrator Jim Macrae announced $63.3 million in Affordable Care Act funding to 1,153 Health Centers.

The funding recognizes Health Center achievements in providing high quality, comprehensive care.

In total, 29 Michigan Health Centers received $1,402,438 in funding under the following clinical measures:

Health Centers that increased the total number of patients served and the number of patients receiving comprehensive services between 2013 and 2014.

Clinical Quality Improver Awards
Health Centers that have demonstrated improvements in one or more clinical measures between 2013 and 2014. Demonstrating a significant improvement to their patients’ health.

Health Centers will use the funds to expand their current quality improvement systems and infrastructure and to improve primary care service delivery in the communities they serve.
