Packard Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alike, providing exceptional health care to Washtenaw County residents since 1973 has received additional Federal funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to open a new health center in Ypsilanti, Michigan and provide health care services at the Delonis Center Homeless Shelter.
This funding was received through a New Access Point grant as part of the National Community Health Center program. The Packard Health care team provides medical, behavioral health care services, and referral for dental care, regardless of insurance status or income level. Packard Health staff also helps patients overcome barriers to accessing care by providing support services such as transportation and translation. Outreach and enrollment assisters are also helping connect uninsured residents with new affordable health insurance coverage options.
