Hackley Teen Health Center Opens to High Demand

On December 15, the Oakridge Teen Health Center opened its doors to the students at Oakridge Public Schools.
The teen Health Center, is the second operated at a local high school by Hackley Community Care Center. The first to open is located at Muskegon High School.
Hackley Community Care Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center and must meet the following requirements: be located in or serve a Medically Underserved Area/Population, be governed by a community board composed of 51 percent or more of Health Center patients who represent the population served, provide comprehensive primary health and support services that promote access to care to everyone in the community, and change uninsured patients for services on a sliding-fee scale based on family size and income.
The Teen Center cares for Oakridge students during school hours, and takes anyone between the ages of 10-21 after school and when it's not in session.
