Have you ever heard the expression "the eyes are the window to the soul"? Well, the mouth is the window to the body's overall health! Michigan Primary Care Association recognizes that good oral health is vital to maintaining strong overall health, and we work to promote programs that increase access to quality oral health care throughout the State of Michigan.


Featured Story: MPCA Advocates for Reinstatement of the Medicaid Adult Dental Benefit

On July 1, 2009, the Medicaid Adult Dental Benefit was eliminated by Executive Order from Governor Jennifer Granholm. In response, MPCA launched a grassroots initiative centered on reinstating this coverage in Michigan which engaged hundreds of advocates and targeted state legislators through a series of compelling postcards and emails. Although the dental benefit hasn't yet been reinstated, there is much hope that new revenue discussions among state legislators working on Michigan's budget will bring oral health care back to thousands of Michigan adults in the upcoming months.
