|MCHN Clinical Quality Committee Nomination Submission|
Nomination Submission Form
Submission Deadline Wednesday, October 26, 2016
Michigan Community Health Network (MCHN) is seeking nominations for the Clinical Quality Committee.
Michigan Community Health Network (MCHN) is a limited liability company (LLC) comprised of 33 member organizations that was formed in 2015. MCHN members, all Federally Qualified Health Centers, serve over half a million patients annually, provide nearly 2 million patient care visits each year and employ 3,800 full time equivalent healthcare team members. MCHN is organized as an independent practice association (IPA), which is characterized by the fact that its provider members (33 Community Health Centers) own and operate the company using structures set forth in an operating agreement.
MCHN is an independent clinically integrated network formed to improve quality and efficiency amongst its member organizations and pursue innovative reimbursement arrangements with managed care organizations and other healthcare payers. As clinical integration strategies are fully implemented, MCHN will have the opportunity to legally negotiate and contract with health plans on behalf of all members (i.e. joint contracting). Working together as a network will provide greater influence and stronger partnership in negotiations, helping to secure payer contracts which optimally support the innovative service delivery models employed by MCHN members. In addition, the scale and presence of the MCHN network will increase the visibility of members in communities they serve.
Clinical Quality Committee
The purpose of the Clinical Quality Committee is to oversee and set priorities for the integrated network (MCHN) related to the quality of care for patients and to ensure the Network functions as a clinically integrated network.
The Clinical Quality Committee should be comprised of a maximum of eleven individuals from the clinical leadership from member organizations including the Clinician Representative to the Board who chairs the committee. Other participants may include CMOs, nurse managers, and quality improvement staff to ensure that the appropriate level of clinical expertise may be accessed to support the current and ongoing financial and budgetary needs of the Company. This Committee will also develop and monitor the clinical quality standards as well as conduct provider disciplinary processes.
The Clinical Quality Committee identifies and coordinates priority clinical quality and utilization review programs, identifies and monitors clinical care guidelines, determines care coordination standards and compliance metrics. The Committee identifies related data collection standards and associated analysis. The Committee identifies any manner of education and oversight for clinically-driven initiatives of the Company.
