Enabling Services Newsletter Launching This Month
The Michigan Primary Care Association Enabling Services team was developed in January 2015 out of national, state, and local conversations around value-based payment reform, investment and commitment to integrated health care teams, increased focus on addressing patient social determinants of health, and the growing utilization of Community Health Workers (CHWs).
In an effort to align our work with changes in how Health Centers improve patient health, the Enabling Services team is actively expanding our member supports and services to include referrals, translation/interpretation, health education and literacy, legal aid services, and outreach. Our current activities include program support, training, and technical assistance for Linkages and Outreach and Enrollment (O/E), as well as the facilitation of developing Medical/Legal Partnerships. Information and resources beyond Linkages and O/E can be found on our Enabling Services webpage.
To keep members informed of new resources and supports, MPCA is launching a monthly Enabling Services Newsletter. Subscribers will receive a monthly e-newsletter with important national, state, and local enabling services news, upcoming training and education opportunities, new reports and data resources, funding opportunities, and much more! If you are interested in receiving the Enabling Services Newsletter, please send a message to Lydia Starrs at email@example.com.

NACHC Launching Advocacy Centers of Excellence Program
The National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) is launching a new initiative called Advocacy Centers of Excellence (ACE) Program. On March 23, 2016, a national launch webinar will be held to introduce the program.
The goal of the program is to build an advocacy infrastructure and capacity on the ground, so Health Centers are ready to act on issues impacting Health Centers at the local, state, and federal levels. ACEs demonstrate ongoing commitment to advocacy and have achieved certain measures of advocacy success. There are three achievement levels: bronze, silver, and gold; Health Centers must complete a checklist to apply, and will receive national recognition for their work as well as support from NACHC advocacy staff.
Additional information will be available soon, but register today for the launch webinar.
