MPCA Welcomes New Staff

MPCA welcomes Tom Kochheiser to our team as the Director of Member Services. Tom began with MPCA on September 7; however, he did make an early appearance at the MPCA Annual Conference last month in Traverse City. Tom has over 30 years of experience in marketing, communications, access to care and dental health education. He previously worked as the Director of Public Affairs and Communications with the Michigan Dental Association, where he also served as the liaison to outside boards and health care-related organizations.

As director of member services, Tom will be responsible for the management of all membership activities, including board and membership meetings, assessing the needs of Michigan's Health Centers and developing strategies to increase and retain membership and sponsorships. He will also provide leadership for the Membership Services team including communications, training and events.

MPCA also welcomes intern Mike Finkel, who is currently working on his Master's in Public Health at Michigan State University. His primary areas of focus at MPCA are supporting the strategic planning process. In addition, Mike is working with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services in the area of genomics and newborn screening.

2015 MPCA Communications Survey

MPCA is building a strategic communications plan to guide our focus as we position ourselves as an innovative, health care partner for Michigan Health Centers.

To help guide the focus of the plan, you are invited to share your anonymous insight through the survey link below. Your participation in this survey will help us focus our resources and build a comprehensive communication plan for the upcoming year and beyond.

The survey will take between five and ten minutes, depending upon your responses. While the survey is anonymous, there is an opportunity to win a $50 Amazon gift card by completing the survey. Respondents who choose to enter into the drawing will need to enter their contact information at the end of the survey.
