The Michigan Primary Care Association seeks several full-time Community Outreach Specialists to enroll children in free and low-cost health insurance programs across the state of Michigan. We are currently filling positions near Detroit, Saginaw, Jackson, Marquette, Baldwin, Bangor and Charlevoix.

Outreach Specialists will be responsible for coordinating outreach and enrollment activities with local non-profit organizations and working to assist communities to ensure all eligible children have health insurance. Extensive travel across the state of Michigan will be required; travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Outreach Specialists will be hired for one year as members of the AmeriCorps community service program and are provided a living stipend, an education scholarship award and free health insurance.

Bi-lingual candidates and those with experience in community outreach, health care, case management, grassroots organizing or a related field are strongly encouraged to apply.Bachelors degree preferred but not required.
