The operations director plans, organizes, and coordinates administrative activities in chronic disease, limited dental prevention, prevention and behavioral health programs; responsibilities inlcude goal and objective development, grant writing, reporting and the ability to motivate and inspire intra-agency cooperation in order to achieve program goals. The Operations Director aids the executive director in formulating and administering organization policies by performing assigned duties personally or through subordinate managers. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
-- BS degree minimum; advanced degree in health management, ie MPH, MSN in Nursing Administration, or comparable degree preferred
-- Experience in complex, multifaceted, community health programs
-- Grant writing experience a plus
-- Knowledge of Database software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software and relevant health data management software (ie HealthPro, RPMS, SPSS)
Other Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must be self-directed and able to maintain confidentiality, and handle crises. Candidates must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule including evenings and weekend. Qualified candidates must also have familiarity and/or experience working with the Native American community at a local level as well as possess a respect and knowlege of tradtional, cultural, and spiritual practices of a diverse Native American community as well as the ability to work with other racially, culturally and ethnically diverse populations.
