2023 MPCA Fall Annual Conference
Call for Presentations

The Michigan Primary Care Association presents its 2023 Annual Conference in person on Wednesday through Friday, September 27-29, at Grand Traverse Resort in Acme, Michigan.

MPCA is seeking dynamic, engaging speakers for our 2023 Annual Conference! This annual event brings together community health centers from around the state of Michigan. For 2023, there will be four areas of focus:

  1. Value Based Care Delivery
    Topics in this area would address Health Center specific best practices in improving patient or population outcomes and satisfaction, improving staff satisfaction, or addressing Social Determinants of Health / Health Equity issues.
  1. Health Information Technology
    Topics in this area would address Health Center specific best practices related to the use of technology/data/reporting to support health and healthcare with the goal of reducing staff and patient burden or improving quality and outcomes.
  1. Health Center Resilience and Excellence
    Topics in this area would address overall organizational strength and endurance of health centers to survive, thrive and prosper. Sessions may focus on topics aligned with the HRSA Health Center Excellence Framework, including financial sustainability, quality patient care and safety, enhancing patient experience, access and affordability, and governance. Other topics may include emergency preparedness and risk management,  strengthening operation management and compliance, and innovating and optimizing capital projects and facilities infrastructure.
  1. Workforce
    Topics in this area would address health center specific best practices related to being an employer of choice, staff recruitment, development, engagement or retention, leadership, management, development of teams/teamwork, project management or remote work.

MPCA will have three sessions for each of the focus area topics: now, the future and health equity.

Presentations will be in person and 60-to-90 minutes in length, including time for questions.

If you have a topic that fits our goals, MPCA invites those interested in presenting at our 2023 Annual Conference to submit a proposal for review by our planning committee.

Know Before you Apply and Important Dates

  • Deadline for submission is March 31, 2023
  • Information provided on the form will be used in conference publications, including but not limited to, printed materials or on our website
  • Incomplete submissions will not be considered
  • Written notification of selection will be sent no later than April 30, 2023

You will be asked to provide details of the training/presentation of your proposed session, along with details about your credentials and background.
