Webinar Overview

The goal of this webinar is to provide information to health centers on how to evaluate current processes related to immunization rates, identify opportunities for improvement, ways to implement improvements, and conduct an evaluation of results.

Great Lakes Health Centers Janes Street has been recognized for exceeding the Healthy People 2020 goal for HPV vaccination of 13-18 year olds. GLB Janes Street is the only practice in Saginaw County recognized for this accomplishment , with 85.4% of their 793 patients age 13-18 having had completed the HPV series. Nicole Fresorger, Assistant Clinical Services Director, will be discussing how they were able to reach their goals, share best practices, and take questions following her presentation.

Jackie Chandler from the Division of Immunization at MDHHS will present information on the QI initiative currently being implemented in 16 of MPCA member health centers. The use of the AFIX model will be elaborated upon, with the opportunity to come on board of this initiative, if you haven't already.

Naomi Shaheen with GSK will speak to the new vaccine, Shingrix, that has received the rare ACIP recommendation for the preferred shingles vaccine.
