Family or Internal Medicine Physician

Family Health Care is currently seeking a full-time family medicine physician for its clinic in Cadillac, Michigan.

Cadillac is a beautiful northern Michigan community home to 500,000 acres of natural forest, hundreds of miles of rivers, well-designed golf courses, a pristine ski resort, and a charming downtown area with historical sites, cultural attractions and family-friendly businesses and restaurants. Cadillac is also home to William Mitchell State Park which features boating, fishing, kayaking and swimming on Lake Mitchell and Lake Cadillac. Cadillac is the county seat of Wexford County and is just 45 minutes from the vineyards, shopping, casino and entertainment of Traverse City and Grand Traverse Bay.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage total patient care to remove or minimize symptoms, or to minimize progression of chronic and disabling conditions through appropriate diagnosis, treatment and referrals.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Program and in-service training.
  • May participate in community education functions and assist community health groups in a medical advisory capacity.
  • Judiciously use x-ray and prescription functions.
  • May be assigned to supervise mid-level providers.
  • Considerable knowledge of medical practices, procedures, drugs and medicines.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to make independent judgments and decisions.

Certificate/License Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Medicine
  • State of Michigan Medical License
  • State of Michigan Controlled Substance License
  • Federal DEA License
  • Board Certified
