MPCA Co-hosting Multi-Agency Collaborative Webinar Series on Colorectal Cancer Screening

Research shows that colorectal cancer screening reduces mobility and mortality rates when done consistently and appropriately. In spite of this, testing rates remain low among minority, poor, and economically disadvantaged populations, who show high rates of this disease.

To assist Health Centers in planning and implementing an effective screening program, MPCA is partnering with the Indiana Primary Health Care Association, Illinois Primary Health Care Association, American Cancer Society, and Michigan Department of Community Health to host a three-part webinar series focused on colorectal cancer screening and presented by top experts in the field.

The webinars will be held 12:30-1:30 pm ET on February 27 (An OverView: Increasing Colorectal Cancer Screening Rates), March 18 (Strategies for Expanding Colorectal Cancer Screening at Health Centers), and March 26 (Interactive Session: Developing Systems to Increase Colorectal Cancer Screening at Health Centers). Click the links above for more information about each webinar and to register. Each webinar will be recorded, and presentation materials and tools discussed for implementing screening programs will be available after the webinar series.
