March to Better Nutrition

DETROIT, Mich. – March is recognized as National Nutrition Month, and is the ideal time to begin better and healthier eating habits. If you missed the month, then the time to start is now!

Nutrition experts agree that fruits and vegetables should make up at least half your plate at every meal with a healthy balance of grains, protein, dairy, and healthy oils, which are also are necessary. The reduction or elimination of fried, processed and fatty foods along with those that are sugar or fat ladden is also integral to developing balanced and healthy diets. Read more
