Alcona Health Center to Bring FQHC to Cheboygan

Alcona Health Center will expand their Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) services to Cheboygan with the New Access Point Funding grants announced by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on May 5, 2015.

The grant is the culmination of plans developed by Alcona Health Center and McLaren Northern Michigan to convert their current primary care practices located in the Cheboygan Clinic facility to a FQHC site. As an FQHC, the site is able to provide many services to patients that are not typically available to a private medical practice.
