Infectious Disease HIV Provider
A Growing and Progressive Community Health Center (with six (6) locations throughout the metro Detroit area) has immediate openings for full-time Infectious Disease HIV Provider for a busy primary care practice in a patient friendly ambulatory setting.
Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Infectious Disease HIV Provider, where you will play a vital role in providing primary care services to DCHC patients at various clinical sites as designated by the Chief Medical Officer. This position requires direct patient care services in Internal Medicine at assigned primary care sites. as well as, administrative duties relating to the management of the HIV/AIDS program and DCHC Infection Control program.
Position Description:
- Provide services as a full-time Infectious Disease Provider.
- Provide ambulatory care of chronic/urgent medical problems following the highest standards of care.
- Provide direction and leadership for the HIV/AIDS program at DCHC.
- Define and develop operating expectations for the HIV/AIDS service line.
- Develop policy and clinical protocols for the HIV/AIDS program at DCHC.
- Participate in clinical research and clinical trials for DCHC HIV/AIDS program.
- Coordinate program activities with DCHC case management and HIV/AIDS care team.
- Provide assistance with HIV/AIDS quality improvement activities that include but not limited to peer review and outcome monitoring and performing Quality Improvement activities.
- Provide mentoring and education to DCHC Providers, staff and patients in management of HIV/AIDS.
- Performing paperwork or other documentation related to the provision of healthcare services to Detroit Community Health Connection patients to maintain JCAHO, NCQA and PCMH standards.
Experience/Certification
- License to practice in the State of Michigan required.
- Board Eligible/Board Certified status is required.
- Current degree from an accredited institution and completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency required.
- Previous ambulatory experience preferred.
- Experience or strong interest in Community Health, serving diverse and underserved populations.
- Specialized training or significant experience in HIV care, including antiretroviral management and prevention strategies.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
