Mark your calendars for the 2024 Cancer Forum scheduled for Tuesday, May 14, at the Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest, 1275 South Huron Street, in Ypsilanti.
This event is jointly being provided to you by Michigan Primary Care Association (MPCA) and the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services (MDHHS).
The theme of this year’s Cancer Forum is: “The Cancer Continuum Patient Journey Through a Health Equity Lens.”
Sessions/topics being presented during this full day event include:
- Updated breast, cervical, colorectal, and lung cancer screening guidelines
- Health equity in cancer screening, including health center best practices
- Panel presentation from your health center peers on implementing evidence-based interventions
- Patient navigation for cancer screening and diagnosis services and support
- Cancer aftercare and survivorship

Continuing Education
We are applying for the following continuing education credits; American Academy of Family Physicians, Nursing, and Community Health Worker (CHW).
AAFP Credits
The AAFP has reviewed 2024 Cancer Forum and deemed it acceptable for up to 6.00 Live AAFP Elective credit(s). Term of Approval is from 05/14/2024 to 05/14/2024. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Social Worker Credits
This course is approved by NASW-Michigan for 5 CE Hours.activity will be submitted to the Wisconsin Nurses Association for approval to award contact hours. The Wisconsin Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Nursing

After this date, any rooms left in our block will be released to the general public and subject to a higher rate.
