Position Overview: The Mental Health Therapist will provide individual trauma-focused therapy, trauma-informed care, or trauma therapy to patients in a primary care and walk-in clinical setting. The therapist will coordinate behavioral mental health services with the medical provider team, ensuring and facilitating quality health outcomes. Responsibilities include providing accurate and timely documentation through an electronic health record, offering patient education, offering ADHD testing, and making appropriate referrals. The therapist case load will consist of at least 75% working with small children.

Job Qualifications:
- Graduated from an accredited behavioral mental health school program.
- Possess an active, in good standing, license to practice as a master’s level social worker or counselor in the State of Michigan.
- Possess or willing to train for BLS/CPR certification.
- Possess an active, in good standing, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) certification.
- Experience in mental health therapy with ability to diagnose and treat.
- Must be able to communicate in a professional manner with patients, staff, and other health care professionals.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to work with diverse groups and maintain confidentiality.
