Mobile Health on the Move, a Michigan working session on expanding access through mobile care.

A team from Mission Mobile Medical is coming to Lansing on Monday, August 31 and Traverse City on Tuesday, September 1, and we’d love for you to join us either day. The Mission Mobile team builds, advises, and runs mobile health programs across the country, and they’ll share what makes these programs work, including how to design one, how to reach people who are missing care, and how to keep a clinic running on the road. This is a working session, so expect real conversation, not a lecture, with plenty of time for questions and discussion with others in the field. Light breakfast and lunch will be provided. More details to come.

Goal: Bring together community health centers and other healthcare leaders throughout the state of Michigan to explore and support opportunities to start or expand mobile health programs.

Who should consider attending:

  • community health centers
  • school based clinics
  • migrant health programs
  • rural health clinics
  • community hospitals
  • health systems
  • tribal health systems
  • health departments
  • nonprofits and foundations
  • government officials
  • academic institutions.

If your organization is thinking about starting a mobile program, already runs one and wants to grow it, or partners with health centers on access to care, this session is for you.

Draft agenda, 9am to 2pm:

  • Introductions
  • Why mobile?
  • What does a successful program look like, and how do you make that happen?
  • Sustainability and ROI
  • Statewide strategy discussion
  • Networking and lunch
  • Facilitated planning session What’s next
