MPCA Launches New State-of-the-Art “VirtuALLY” IT Service

LANSING– The Michigan Primary Care Association (MPCA) today announced the launch of its new state-of-the-art VirtuALLY service that will support health centers statewide with cost-saving and more efficient information technology services.

MPCA serves as the voice of 39 community health centers and four Native American health service providers that provide primary and preventive health care to more than 715,000 patients in rural and urban communities across Michigan.

The nonprofit supplies clinical support services, community development, consulting services, education and training, recruitment, communication and networks, technical assistance and information sharing to health providers and centers.

MPCA has provided what was previously called its VirtualCHC service to support the information technology (IT) needs of health centers across Michigan. MPCA introduced its new VirtuALLY technology as its leadership continued to see significant opportunity to increase and expand the business, especially with the ever-changing landscape of IT and software providers pushing for direct-to-customer sales. VirtuALLY will directly benefit executive/administration teams and allow them to spend more time with patients and better address their needs.

VirtuALLY will offer inclusive service lines, hands-on service and training and, most importantly, cost savings CHCs can receive from the MPCA offerings. Services provided include:

  • Support for electronic health records (EHR), electronic dental records (EDR) and other clinical information systems
  • Microsoft 365 and Azure AD implementation and management
  • SharePoint design, implementation and management
  • Fully assisted remote monitoring and management (RMM) system
  • Managed endpoint detection and response (EDR)
  • Network architecture and management
  • Regular vulnerability scans with remediation planning and implementation
