Overview

This virtual, highly interactive and immediately applicable skill-building program is held through Zoom one morning per week for 5 weeks. Managers and supervisors at all levels develop and strengthen critical skills necessary to successfully navigate their roles in today’s increasingly challenging health center environment.

Participants Gain or Strengthen Skills to:

• Develop and retain engaged, productive and satisfied teams.

• Utilize Behavioral Interviewing to hire staff with the right skills and fit for the long-term.

• Coach and develop employees.

• Communicate effectively as a manager.

• Avoid common legal pitfalls when managing employees.

• Create and sustain a culture of customer service.

• Drive accountability and deliver results.

Target Audience:

This training is ideal for first-time managers or supervisors with 18 months of experience or less, as well as more experienced managers looking to refresh and hone their skills.

Date and Times:

This is a 5-week course and attendance at all sessions is required (with reasonable exceptions). The course will be held January 18 – February 15, 2024 from 9:00 – 11:30.

Important Technical Requirements: Each participant will need a webcam to join this highly interactive training (one participant per device). If access to a computer with a webcam is not available, Zoom has an excellent app that enables participants to join via most phones or tablets that have video capability. This helps us to achieve a true face-to-face environment during this virtual training!

Course Trainer and Facilitator: Lisa Mouscher is CEO and Lead Trainer at Sogence Training and Consulting. As a popular and dynamic facilitator, trainer and consultant, Lisa works primarily with managers and staff from Federally Qualified Health Centers and other health centers across the country. She specializes in two areas of focus: strengthening the management and supervisory skills of health center managers at all levels and assisting health centers to create a culture of customer service. Lisa brings her extensive background in management, training and human resources to her work with community health organizations and is known for facilitating immediately applicable results as well as lasting impact to strengthen these organizations for the long term.
